Charlie was getting more and more worried by the moment, and was starting to take out his anger on Kate and Jack instead of the Others. He started walking ahead, hoping Kate would realize he wasn't in the mood to be wasting time talking to Jack.

Kate saw Charlie walk off and she looked at Jack and sighed. "Charlie!" She yelled. It began to rain. Hard. This drowned out Kate's yelling. She was soaked in a matter of seconds. "Charlie come back!" She tried to shout through the rain. It was hard to see where he had gone through the thick rain drops and she looked at Jack to see if he saw where Charlie went.

Jack followed Kate closely, he squinted, struggling to see where Charlie had gone, he fell over and hit the soggy mud, he tied the shoelace that had caused him to fall and stood up, when he got up Kate had dissapered aswell.
"KATE!!" Jack shouted waiting for a responce from Charlie or Kate.

Charlie ignored Kate's yells as he continued to stomp through the jungle. "Bloody hell" He said as it began to rain. He pulled his hood up and continued walking. When he heard Kate yell again he looked back in the direction her voice came from. As he squinted to see through the rain a glint of metal caught his vision. He walked slowly to what seemed like a jungle wall, and began moving the ivy to the side until he saw a door. This had to be it. This had to be the hatch. "Kate! Jack!" He yelled as he began trying to open the door.

Kate walked further into the bleak jungle. Her vision blurred by the pouring rain. She turned around and Jack was gone. "Jack?" She called. No answer. Great now they were all split up in the middle of a down pour. She decided to keep going and look for Charlie. She thought she could just make out his voice in the distance. "Charlie?" She yelled. "Is that you!?" She walked faster and then got to where Charlie was. She stopped when she saw what he was trying to open. A hatch. This was it. It looked like it. It must be. She walked over and helped Charlie open the door.

With Kate's help, they were finally able to open the heavy door. Charlie smiled to himself slightly, proud he had been able to accomplish his task of finding the hatch. His smile quickly faded as he remembered why they had been looking for it in the first place. It was incredible dark down the corridor of stairs, and he was beginning to wonder if there was anyone even down there. He looked at Kate briefly. "You ready?"

Claire looked at the stranger with a perplexed look. Why would we both stay here? I don't want to. I want to go home. The man stood there, "You may not remember us very well but we took care of you when you were taken from your camp." Claire scowled at him, "Why did you take us? Why did you hang Charlie!?" The man shook his head, "He wasn't behaving." "Wasn't behaving!?" Claire was shocked at these people. "We had to bring you here to protect you and now the baby is born-" "His name is Aaron!" The man paused, "And now Aaron us born we can keep you both here and take care of you. Everybody wins," he smirked. Claire struggled, "Let me go! Untie me!" The man stepped back and glanced at another man who nodded. He took out a needle and injected it in Claire's arm. Claire shrieked thinking he was going to hurt her but soon the injection began to take affect and she began to fade. She just managed to see and hear a worried girl rush in, she was sure she recognised her but couldn't remember where from. She had curly brown hair and looked quite anxious. Soon enough he ran out with her muttering that someone had entered through the hatch entrance. "Charlie," she mumbled aloud trying to stay awake but soon enough she had passed out.

Kate nodded. She looked down the dark corridor and wondered where anyone was. Was there anyone down there? There was only one way to find out. She was about to step inside when she thought about Jack. "Wait." She said pausing. "What about Jack?" He had disappeared and not showed up again. He must be behind them somewhere. Then Kate heard a shriek. Kate looked at Charlie with wide eyes and then rushed inside the hatch. She knew that shriek. It was Claire.

Charlie was already 3 steps into the corridor before Kate mentioned Jack. He turned to once again say something negative and keep walking, when he heard her. He and Kate gave each other the same worried look, before they began racing down the hall. He stopped abruptly at the end of it. Mainly because he didn't know how many Others there were, and he would be no good to Claire if he was hung or something.

Kate started to run down the corridor with Charlie and stopped when he did. He looked uneasy. He must be wondering how to go about this. Kate was wondering the same thing. She heard voices coming from a room down the corridor. Kate put her fingers to her lips indicating to Charlie to be quiet as she tiptoed down the corridor as quietly as she could to the room she heard the voices in.
She put her head next to the door. It was closed but she could hear them talking. Suddenly she heard footsteps coming towards the door. She gasped and ran round the corner while the men walked past.
"She'll be out for a while." One said. "Yeah, we'll check on her later." Said another. When they went past Kate breathed in relief. She went to open the door but it was locked. She sighed in fustration.

Charlie looked around in frustration. He stopped when he saw a narrow window cracked open at the top of the door. "Kate!" He said in a loud whisper. "Look" He nodded towards the window. "I'll give you a boost, you go in, unlock the door from the inside, and let me in" He said fairly quick. He doubted it would work as smoothly as that, but he didn't see how it couldn't work at all.

Kate looked over at Charlie and walked over. She didn't really want to climb through a small window but she wasn;t going to say no. She would fit through easier then Charlie. She nodded and went over to the window Charlie had pointed out.
She reached up to the window and grabbed hold of it as Charlie lifted her up. She put her head through the window and tried to wiggle through. She was nearly half way in when her top got caught on something. She tried moving but all that happened was that it ripped a little- she was still caught. She was just about to point this out to Charlie when she heard voices down the corridor- someone was coming. "Charlie, I'm stuck!" Kate whispered in panic. "And they're coming!"

Charlie looked around in horror. What was he going to do if the Others found him and Kate? As his panic from the footsteps approaching became more severe, he finally noticed a small foot ladder in the corner of the hall. "Okay, I got it" He said to Kate, before quickly running toward the ladder and heading back. Once he reached the top of the small ladder, he fiddled with Kate's shirt hurriedly, once Kate was free, he quickly pushed her through the remainder of the window. He barely had time to round the corner to hide before the Others appeared.

Kate fell through the window and fell to the floor. It was dark, the only light coming through the small window she had just come through.
"Claire?" She whispered. She could hear the men outside. She paused, not even breathing. She heard them come right next to the door and then....and then...they went. The voices went quieter and quieter until they vanished. Kate breathed in relief and smiled before looking carefully around the room. She couldn't see anything. She looked around for the light, moving her hand accross the wall. Click. She had found it and the lights came on. Claire was in the corner. "Claire!" Kate said and rushed over. She looked asleep but Kate shook her to see if she would wake up. Nothing- she was out for the moment. She checked her over to see if she was hurt- she looked okay. Then she got up and opened the door for Charlie.

Charlie had moved back toward the door, and was about to start knocking to remind Kate he was still there, when it flew open. "It's about bloody time" He quickly entered and shut the door behind him. "Claire!" He said as he noticed her in the corner. He ran quickly to her, falling to his knees so that they were eye level. "Claire?" He said softly as he gently touched her face. He then turned to Kate. "What's wrong with her?"
