Jack walked out of the jungle way from the hatch, he was always down there and now he thought he'd get some fresh air, Jack saw an empty piece of beach and walked over, when he reached it he sat down and stared out to sea finally taking a break.
Jack turned around when he heard someone walking towards him, "hey" Jack said casually "what are you doing over here?" Jack asked politley.

Kate saw Jack and walked over. "Just getting some fresh air." Kate replied casually. "What about you? Why are you away from the hatch?"

"Sure." Kate replied sitting next to him. She saw that he looked a little distant. "Hey, you okay?" She asked concerned.

She looked out to sea as he spoke but then turned back to look at him again. "What things?" She asked wandering if she could help.

Even though Jack hadn't seen Kate for a while she still hadn't lost her curiosity about everything, Jack stared out to sea for a bit more before answering Kate, still not making eye contact and just staring out to sea Jack said "Locke"

Kate frowned silently. Men and their differences. But she reckoned that Jack would have a good reason for his behaviour so she asked him gently: "Whats he done now?"

Jack looked at Kate, eye to eye, then he looked back at the ocean before him, "nothing, never mind" he said, then he stood up and looked at Kate "are you okay?" Jack asked trying to change the conversation.

Kate looked into Jack's eyes but then he looked away and got up. She stared out to sea. He had changed the subject. Typical defence mechanism. She didn't look away from the blue ocean but she did say: "Jack!I'm not gonna go away." And then she turned around and faced him. Whatever Locke had done it had upset Jack more then he usually bothers him.

Jack ignored Kate and kept on walking up the beach towards the jungle, he was going to head back to the hatch.

Kate sighed. Jack was keeping himself to himself. Kate shouldn't be angry. She kept herself to herself and wouldn't open up to Jack often enough. She sadly watched him go. Something was bothering him and Kate would find out what.
She waited a few minutes and then began to follow him. She followed him through the jungle and hid behind trees and bushes.

Jack headed for the hatch, he had a feeling he was being followed but he thought nothing of it after all their was no reason someone would follow him, Jack arrived at the hatch to find that Locke had left, he had left dishes and cutlery all over the floor.
"what the hell happened?" Jack asked himself.

Kate, silently as she could, followed Jack back to the hatch. When she got there she watched Jack's expression. She followed his gaze to the mess on the floor and Kate's expression turned to a confused one. She still remained hidden from Jack. Maybe he would do something that would allow Kate to find out what was wrong.

Jack didn't know what to else to do except clean everything up, it took him a while but eventually he had cleaned everything up, just in time for the alarm, he typed in the code and pushed the button, now he had to know what had happened, know doubt it had something to do with Locke.
