Claire smiled. She couldn't help but agree. It was beautiful. The sound of the water lapping, the birds singing the refreshing feeling the water brought, "Well it's better having a wash here then back at the beach any day," she replied though of course there was much more to it then that.

Libby smiled at Claire. It was so good for the new mother to get a break. She could see the worry lines that were etched in Claire's forehead starting to loosen. Libby knew this was good medicine for her.
"The salt from the ocean water does nothing for my hair, either," Libby joked making sure to keep the good humor and light mood going between them. "It's so frizzy from the humidity here and the salt just makes it worse. I'm glad someone told me about this place. Maybe now my clothes will last longer too." Libby chuckled at the next words out of her mouth, "I am not looking forward to wearing fig leaves!"

Claire giggled, "I agree! Fig leaves are so last year!" she continued joking and laughing while bobbing up and down in the clean water. The water was much better than the ocean water. And in a way softer. She looked over at Libby with a grin and saw she was enjoying herself. She was glad. They all needed a break after all that had happened to them.

Libby grinned and swam to Claire. She wondered how long Claire could stay before Charlie got worried about her and came looking. He seemed like the protective type.
"Are you going to be able to stay for a bit?" she asked.

Claire paused, "I don't know. I can't leave Aaron with Charlie long but I suppose he wouldn't mind if I stayed a bit longer." Claire knew Charlie would do anything for her but she didn't want to take advantage of him.

Libby smiled. She was happy for the company.
"So, Claire," she said swimming around, "you must have been pretty far along in your pregnancy for Aaron to be so healthy. I know the airlines usually don't let women travel in their third trimester."
It was a concealed question about why Claire was on the plane. But being the therapist Libby was, she was able to speak it, hopefully, in a way that didn't make her sound nosey or threating to Claire's privacy.

Claire frowned for a second as she drew her finger along the cool water in a swirling pattern. She thought she might as well tell the truth as many people knew now already about her plans, "To be honest," she said hesitating slightly, "I was going to L.A. to visit some people......" she paused. She hated talking about giving Aaron away. She loved him. She regretted even thinking about giving him up, "....they were interested in adopting him."
Claire stopped and waited for Libby's reaction. Libby probably thought she was a loving young mother. But now she knew the truth, "I know it was a mistake now though," she said quickly, "I'm glad he's with me."

Libby smiled sympathetically. She understood the heartache that must have come with that statement. She had never been in the position herself, but she had counseled many women in the aftermath of giving up their children. She'd also counseled many young mothers who were considering it. Libby had a feeling Claire felt guilt about thinking about putting Aaron up for adoption now that she had him and knew how wonderful he was.
"Well Claire, I certainly can understand why you considered it. Being a young single woman can really make you feel overwhelmed when an unexpected pregnancy happens. I just see how good of a mother you are now and can't help but think in some way that fate stepped in to let you know you could do it."
Libby smiled genuinely at Claire. She hoped she knew she was sincere in her compliment about being a good mother.
"Aaron is a fine boy, by the way. I think he looks like you."

Claire smiled, "I always thought he looked a little similar." She was glad Libby understood her situation and what she had to fo through. When Thomas left her it was one of the most painful times of her life, aside from her mother disowning her. She was happy Charlie was there to take care of her and Aaron. He was twice the man Thomas ever was. Thomas was a coward. Perhaps Libby was right. She already knew the phsycic had predicted the crash and made her board so they could be together. Maybe the Physcic had good intentions all along. "I went to see a phsycic," Claire blurted out feeling slightly embarrassd, "You know-for fun." she circled her toe along the bed of the water, "He told me I had to raise the child, that my goodness was to be influenced on him," she looked down at the clear water, "He suggested the couple in L.A. suddenly chaging his mind about everything. That I board the plane. And suprise suprise it just happened to crash so I had to raise Aaron anyway," She looked at Libby, "Guess there was a good thing out of it after all." she added thinking about her son. She paused, "I've only ever told Charlie that," she admitted.

Libby smile a reassuring smile to Claire. She was used to people telling her their secrets. It came with her job. Of course, this was just Claire telling Libby, not a psychologist. That made it a little more special to Libby.
"I think something wonderful definitely came out of it," Libby said. "I couldn't think of a better mom for Aaron. Psychic or not, the man was right about that one."
Libby swam a little closer to the side of Claire.
"What do you say we get out of here and go see that baby of yours?"

Claire nodded, "Good idea," she said happily squeesing water out of her hair, " I expect he's tired Charlie out by now."
She waded over to the edge of the water and pulled herself up on to the bank. She held a hand out for Libby and smiled. She couldn't wait to see Aaron again. It was like they were sort of inseperable. Every time Claire was away from him she would worry. But she knew Charlie would never harm him. She smiled again at the thought of them.

Libby accepted the hand up and pulled herself from the lagoon. It had been a nice and refreshing reprieve from the beach. She looked at Claire who was wringing out her hair and followed suit. Libby started with her hair and went down, wringing out her shirt a little too.
"OK, let's go see that baby," Libby said enthusiastically.
