At five thousand feet the plane was ripped apart like an empty soda can, the tail separated from the fuselage. People were sucked out, at five thousand feet, all the way to 50 feet. The people in the tail section landed in the water, while on another side of the island the fuselage broke apart from the cockpit, landing on a beach. All of this occurred within minutes, giving no one time to think or react. Oddly enough, those who did not get not sucked out or land in the ocean managed to walk away with only a few cuts and bruises. Oceanic flight 815 was 1000 miles off course when it crashed. The radio had gone out five hours into the flight, and that was why she turned around. There was only a mild storm outside of the plane, so why did she crash?
For the last three months those who survived have clung to the beach with the hopes that they will be saved. Some traveled to the caves for the sake of fresh water, but in time moved back to the beach. Basic huts have been constructed, and there is a semblance to civilization on the exotic jungle front. There are those who believe themselves to be leaders, those who stand out against the rest for some reason, but in recent times they have been kidnapped by the elusive Others, thus leaving the rest of the camp in relative peace.
While the unfocused try not to concern themselves with the goings on of the likes of Sawyer, Kate, and Jack and the drama that they so cleverly elicit, they cannot help but notice. A few of those who had been apart of the drama are now slowly sinking into the depths of those who are not set apart for their dramatics but united by their want to get home. Everyone is confused about who the Others are and what the Dharma project has to do with anything, but they are certain that they will be bothered as little as possible. They go about their beach-life as quietly as they can, moving here and there trying to gather what supplies they can, now that the plane drops have all but stopped.
What is life like on the beach, and how do you go about it? What is your life like now that you are Lost?
